Brian Ward is a brilliant pianist and composer who originally hails from Portland, Oregon. Brian collaborated with Esperanza Spalding and Thara Memory in the creation of the Grammy Award winning arrangement of Spalding’s “City of Roses,” and has performed with Memory, Bobby Torres, Obo Addy, the Oregon Symphony and many others. This recording features an inspired set of Ward originals and standards recorded with excellent support from bassist Steed and drummer Heller.
