Dr. Gerald Berthiaume is Professor of Piano at Washington State University. He served as Director of the School of Music from 2003 to 2011. A former USIA Artistic Ambassador , he has performed around the world and across the U.S. throughout his thirty-six year career.
Composers
Dr. Gregory W. Yasinitsky has an international reputation as a composer and saxophonist with over 185 published musical works which are performed in over 30 countries world-wide. Struck by Lightning was written for and dedicated to Gerald Berthiaume. Yasinitsky is Director of the WSU School of Music
The late Dr. Charles Argersinger was Coordinator of the Composition and Theory area at WSU for 20 years. He was recognized internationally for his work, and was a winner of the United Nations International Competition for its 50th Anniversary Celebration.
The late Dr. Jerry Bailey was Director of the School of Music and Professor of Piano when he passed away suddenly in 1969. His Piano Sonata was dedicated to his wife, Ruby.
